Everyone posts their DX totals now, so I figured it might be fun to crunch my old contest logs. These numbers are from ONLY contest logs (both as K1KAA and N0HI). My own personal DX'ing is not reflected in these totals. The numbers below are WORKED, not confirmed. Someday I'll get around to going through all of the cards. I'll try to keep this current. Last updated: 10/15/2009 Total Entities Worked:
These numbers say a good deal about station weaknesses; i.e., low band numbers are quite low. You can also tell which band is my personal favorite (15), which wouldn't be reflected in contest-only totals except that I tend to have more 15m antennas than any other band. The single VHF country is the USA, since we do no VHF activity other than using the local repeater for talk-in. I've worked RTTY before, but never in a contest (though the station is 100% capable). Percentages of QSO's by Contest:
These results are interesting. I'm surprised so many contest Q's came from SS CW. I was also surprised by how low my WPX totals are; I suspect this is from operating SSB with the NE1C crew at K1TTT about 7 or 8 years straight, and just never being able to play much on CW. The CQWW tests are far and away the largest source of Q's. Most Worked Stations:
These numbers are from every contest run from my station (@N0HI, @K1KAA). These include a bunch of different operating callsigns we've used; the total QSO pool this statistic was extracted from was not able to be segregated by our callsign. It would be interesting to see if the most worked as N0HI were also the most worked as K1KAA. This is also a testament to how LOUD Ranko's place (4O3A ex. YT6A) is into the U.S. East Coast. |
